Best Date Places in Toronto

Some great date place here in Toronto that are very affordable and maybe a little out of the ordinary.

Second City

There is no better way to break the ice than with a couple of laughs over some drinks. Second City in Toronto boasts a plethora of both local and national comedic talent who host shows nightly. They offer package deals that include dinner at Gretzky’s restaurant and admission to the show at very reasonable rates. If you have never been it’s a fun and funny experience.

The Riddle Room

Well if you can’t figure out what this place is all about from just the name maybe you should hold off on using it as a Toronto date spot. But if you’re up for a little challenge this is the perfect place to show off your amazing problem solving skills in one of the escape rooms. Use physical clues and hints to solve puzzles and escape from the room before time expires. Then enjoy something from the cafe menu and relax with one of the 200 board games available.

Snakes & Lattes

How about a couple pumpkin spiced lattes served with a side of checkmate. Meeting for coffee, the classic first date, can always be nerve racking so we suggest memorizing all the trivia cards in balderdash to impress your date before heading off to this place. The relaxing and fun atmosphere coupled with affordable prices make it a great spot to get to know each other. Remember you can tell a lot about a person who hides out in Australia during a game of risk.

This place is a ping-pong social club. After working up a hunger playing you can grab something from the kitchen and debate the finer points of each other’s game . Be sure to call before to book a table because they to fill up quickly especially later on in the week.

Friday Night Live at the ROM

One of the most unique dates spots in Toronto, the Royal Ontario Museum host a social event on Friday nights that include live music, food, drinks and dancing all while rubbing elbows with history. You need to get early-bird tickets, but they are limited so if you do miss out on them arrive early to the door as there is normally a line up. There is a dress code in effect so dress appropriately.

Ballroom

If you have never tried 10 pin bowling, the Ballroom is the perfect place to start. The laid back atmosphere and surrounding big screens make it as much of a bar as it is a bowling alley. After throwing a few frames head upstairs for some dinner and if the night is going well stay for some live entertainment. Be warned though this a very popular spot so it can be a little expensive and can get crowded on some nights.
